SPEL Group


SPEL Group was established in 2016 with parent company headquartered in New Zealand. SPEL Group comprised of three companies, SPEL Hong Kong Ltd, SPEL New Zealand Ltd and Guang Dong EazLife Science Ltd in China. SPEL was founded by Mr Richard Fong & Tong Zhen in New Zealand and Mr Zhien Ou & Frank Feng in China in 2016 where it was joined later by Mr Adam Wu from Hong Kong as company chairman in 2017. In late 2017, Mr Kent Zhu brings his financial sector experience into the company as financial director and responsible for all financial activities for the company. Meanwhile, SPEL New Zealand Ltd who is spearheaded by scientific and technical director Dr Richard Fong remains responsible for research and development along with production line in New Zealand for all commercial applications.


SPEL main product is known as SPEL-MIC the core technology for the company that featuring three essential criteria, broad-spectrum disinfectant, long-lasting protection barrier and non-alcohol and non-toxic based formulation. Products such as SPEL-MIC NanoShield (SP-24 hand sanitiser and SP-30 surface protectant) was developed in New Zealand in 2018 and was recently distributed to Asia-Pacific region for sale.


During the global outbreak of Covid-19, these products play a significant role in China and other countries, where they are extensively used for high-grade sanitisation in many public areas, government agency, school, hospital and public transport with many positive feedbacks. Due to overwhelming support, the company is moving into more production in 2020 by setting up a second factory in China (expected operational in Q2, 2020). Such a move is mainly for cost-reduction and mass production of antimicrobials products to further consolidate SPEL antimicrobial market penetration and position in the Asia region.
